Q: Do you work with customers outside of Australia?
A: Yes. In fact, the majority of our projects have come (and continue to come) from America and Europe. However, to keep dealings simple and efficient, we only accept working with international customers IF they have been referred by one of our own.
Q: How much does it cost to build a website?
A: While that may be the million dollar question, fortunately (for you, at least) a million dollars is not the answer. For the types of websites that we build, $2,000 to $5,000 is a good indication of cost. This depends, of course, of the amount and the variety of work required.
Nevertheless, every project is unique in its own right, and in order to adequately quote a fair estimate for YOUR project, please send us as much information as possible. As a general guideline, try to answer these questions:
- How many web pages do you expect the site will have upon completion?
- What is the purpose (informative, promoting business services, personal)?
- In what language(s) will it be?
- Do you have your content ready in text format (.DOC or .TXT)?
- Can you provide your own images, and are they in high resolution?
- Can you come up with a short list of websites that you like?
- Will you require assistance with hosting or acquiring a domain name?
So, go ahead and send us a message including your country of residence, details of your project, the name or URL of your referral, and any other questions you may have.
Q: How can I request a free consultation?
A: Easy! Just click here and request a free, no-obligation consultation. We respond to all legitimate inquiries.
Q: How will we exchange the website content?
A: Since we’re no longer limited by distance, location is never an issue. We are very proud to have worked with clients from all over the world, so far including the USA, Greece, Venezuela, Mexico and the British Virgin Islands. Supplying the content of your website is as easy as sending an e-mail. In fact, that’s all there is to it; a simple e-mail with the necessary attachments. Even if we had a client next-door, we’d still choose to communicate via e-mail and skype. It’s safer, faster, more efficient, and even necessary, as we’ll be exchanging digital content.
Q: I already have a website, should I consider having it redesigned?
A: Web fashion changes rapidly, but a well-designed site has the potential to outlast a couple of fashion cycles.
A good rule of thumb is to never keep a website longer than you would a vehicle. Some vehicles have such a sleek design that they still look modern even 5 years after hitting the road, but rarely do you find a car that still looks modern after having been around for 10 years (with the excemption of those innaccessible sports demons that only the very wealthy can afford). Wouldn’t you agree?
Well, the same principle holds true for websites. So, never underestimate the impact your website has on your business, as it your professionalism and willingness to stay current and competitive.
It is also helpful to keep in mind that the average user decides whether or not a website is worth their time the instant they merely glance at it. And the vast majority of those who remain after that first glance feel they’ve seen enough during their first 30 seconds. For this reason, it is of utmost importance to have a visually appealing homepage with powerful images, very little text, and a concise message.
“How long would you remain in a dirty and disorganised store where you would need to use a map to find what you’re looking for?”
Online visitors aren’t any different.
Q: How can I promote my website out in the street?
A: Your business can save thousands on advertising by just using the magical phrase, “For details, visit our website at www.mywebsite.com!”. Not only that, but you’ll also be able to turn more of your visitors into customers, as they’ll be much more likely to trust your company if they recognise the name from audiovisual advertisements, word of mouth, reviews, or testimonials. That would be equivalent to handing out a high-quality brochure of your business to each and every person that sees or hears your website’s address.
Q: Can you add Twitter to my site?
A: Certainly. This is a common trend nowadays, and by the looks of it, it seems it’s here to stay.
Q: Do you keep web stats and can you send me the reports via e-mail?
A: If we host your website, you’ll have access to Awstats via Cpanel. Awestats is a robust tool that tracks where your visitors come from, how long they stay, what keywords they used to find you, which pages get the most traffic, etc. It contains clean graphs and a variety of filters that help you organise the data as you wish. Best of all, it’s extremely easy to use.
A: Most definitely not. We use top-of-the-line equipment that no Mac could ever match either in speed, power, or compatibility.
Now, if the question were whether or not we “play” on a Mac, then the answer would be yes (nothing serious, nonetheless). iPhones and iPads are amazing gadgets and we love them. But when the going gets tough, PC is the only way to go.
With this statement, we understand we’ve forfeited about 3% of our prospective customers. But in exchange for vastly superior processing power (and compatibility), that’s a loss we can live with.
